Refund terms and conditions

Time limits for refunds

The refund period depends on the type of payment and the payment method used. Generally, refunds can be issued within 14 days of the payment being made. However, in some cases, additional time may be required to process the refund request.

Return procedures

To obtain a refund, please contact our technical support team with a description of the problem and relevant documents (e.g. screenshots). We will review your refund request as soon as possible and provide you with a response.

Return criteria

In order for a refund request to be approved, the payment must have been made within our system and it must also meet our refund criteria. Refund criteria may include, for example, an incorrectly made payment, an incorrect payment amount or double debit.

What is a Merchant Account?

A merchant account is an intermediary account that captures and holds funds generated from Credit Card and Debit Card Sales. From there, they are released to your business’s bank account.

What is a payment gateway?

A payment gateway works with your shopping cart to collect payment details from your customers. The gateway securely transmits the card information through our processor and we generate an “approved” or “declined” message in real time. This is how you connect your website, your customer’s payment method and all the involved financial institutions.

What payment methods can I accept through PSiGate’s Payment Gateway?

PSiGate’s Payment Gateway supports the following payment methods:

How long does the process take?

It usually takes 24-48 hours to review your application. An underwriter will contact you to discuss your application and take you through the next steps in the set up process.

What supporting documentation do I need to provide to get set up?

You will need the following documentation:

  • Your company’s business registration/license or Articles of Incorporation
  • An embossed VOID cheque for a business bank account for each currency you require
How do I confirm that my shopping cart integrates with PSiGate’s Payment Gateway?

Do you service businesses outside of North America?

PSiGate works with thousands of businesses in Canada and the United States. Unfortunately, we are unable to service businesses that are registered outside of North America at this time.

I am a Canadian merchant and I already have a merchant account, can I use PSiGate’s Gateway?

Yes! PSiGate is compatible with most Canadian Merchant Accounts. Please contact us today to find out if your merchant account is compatible and for a free “Gateway-Only” quotation.

I am a US merchant and I already have a US merchant account, can I use PSiGate’s Gateway?

Yes! Just ensure that your merchant account can be processed through one of the following:

  • FDMS Nashville (ENVOY)

  • Online Gambling
  • Multi-Layered Marketing Program Sales
