The gateway securely transmits the card information through our processor and we generate an “approved” or “declined” message in real time. Recurring billing allows a merchant to automatically bill their customer on a regular interval. Recurring billing is included with all PSiGate accounts at no extra charge.
Visa and Mastercard have announced changes to their domestic Interchange programs. These changes are a result of the voluntary commitment made to the Government of Canada to reduce the cost of card acceptance for small and medium-sized merchants. Visa is modifying select Interchange rates and introducing new fee programs effective April 18, 2020. Mastercard is making significant changes to the structure of their interchange programs and rates as well as updating their domestic interchange programs in Canada effective May 1st, 2020.
Generally, we fund our merchants on a daily or a weekly interval. The funding schedule will be determined by an underwriter based on the nature and model associated with your e-commerce business.
Canadian merchants can use any Canadian bank. We are unable to fund personal accounts. The account must be under your businesses name. US merchants can use any major American bank. Again, the account must be under your businesses name.
